What is the Bret Hart Screwjob?

One of the most famous wrestling moments ever came at the 1997 Survivor Series event in Montreal, Canada. Vince McMahon, Shawn Micheals, and referee Earl Hebner worked together to go behind Bret Harts back and cost him the win that was predetermined to go his way beforehand. Shawn got Bret in a sharpshooter position and Earl Hebner called for the bell within seconds declaring Michaels the winner. Bret Hart had no idea of the plan and was furious inside the ring and backstage. The incident led to a bitter end of Bret’s WWE career.
